We Celebrate Science And Technology Everyday

littlelion | 18 July, 2007 18:40

To let you know guys, this week, the nation is celebrating the National Science and Technology Week. Guided by the theme: “Science, Technology, and Innovation for Progress", the Department of Science and Technology has prepared an array of activities from July 16-10, aimed at promoting development-oriented technology products, services and innovation.

Among these activities are lectures about global warming and alternative energy for elementary and high school students; open house exhibits about the history of science in the country from the early American era to the present; livelihood training courses on basic liquid detergents and fabric conditioner formulation, virgin coconut oil production and its by products and specialty soap making; technology demonstration on wrought iron, electroplating, metal casting and plastic injection; and the first-ever National Youth Science Summit.

It is a good thing to know that our government, primarily through DOST is doing things to keep its citizens, particularly, the youth, if not updated, aware that science and technology is alive in our country. But facing the reality, it is not only on science and technology that our government is focusing on. Thus, there are gaps. Thankfully, these gaps are being covered by other entities. There are the educational institutions that continuously teaches the students about scientific concepts and theories. And of course, there is the tech media, who's the nose is always on the news on any technological breakthroughs that are happening under the sun or had happened once in a blue moon.

We, the HardwareZone Team is glad to be part of the tech media. At the end of each day, we always realize that we have accomplished that great responsibility of keeping you technologically abreast in fields of computing, communications and consumer electronics.

We would like you to know, that here in HardwareZone, we celebrate science and technology everyday
Smile
