When it comes to fun rides and theme parks, Filipinos aren’t exactly spoilt for choice. Off the top of my head, I can name Enchanted Kingdom, the long running, somehow-surviving high-end theme park, Fiesta Carnival near in Cubao with its old rides and funky railway, and of course the almost seasonal Boom na Boom and Star City. But for most people hankering for something else, the only option is to go overseas, or perhaps try out one of these rolling beauties.
The Evento BuzzBall requires a large, flat surface or field (like UP’s Sunken Garden perhaps?) as it is essentially a free-form personal roller coaster for one. It consists of a Recaro-like racing seat in a big plastic ball with transparent triangles in a bucky-ball like latticework. Two electric motors move the seat independently of the ball. For added (deadly) thrills, simply look for an appropriate steep hill to roll down on (not one with cars on it, mind).

The way it works is, the two electric motors in the BuzzBall are controlled by two separate throttles. Moving forward or backward is accomplished simply by operating the two throttles simultaneously. Turning left or right is a totally more complicated process – if the passenger wants to turn left, the ball is turned by the electric motors, but the chair remains fixed, resulting in a dizzying combination of counter-turns, rolls, and if you turn hard enough, loops and somersaults. It’s a free-form personal roller coaster that’s as thrilling as you want it to be – just be sure to put a limit on yourself in consideration of your nausea threshold.

The BuzzBall is not yet available, much less locally, but Evento seems eager to start selling it; it just needs enough people who are tired of long lines and limited facilities (plus spare cash + time) to take a ride in one of these fun, rollicking balls.
