Regular readers may have noticed our tendency here at the HWZ offices to talk about anything Guitar Hero related, and this time things are no different: even when our favorite game is shrunk down to minuscule size. Enter the Guitar Hero Carabiner.

Despite taking up less space than your average Wii controller, this Carabiner presents the complete, albeit miniaturized experience to the would-be rocker – it has a small LCD screen, the multi-color buttons, an integrated speaker and it even has a retractable neck that can be stowed away when you’re between sessions.

Can you do that to your guitar?
It obviously also serves as a carabiner, perhaps not for attaching your keys to (or for climbing!), but it can be secured to a bag strap or belt loop easily enough. In this way you can’t be far away from your “axe” whenever the urge to shred a few bars hits you.

Other than the fact that it looks like a poor game ‘n watch rip-off, this miniaturized version of the popular game is set to woo Guitar Hero addicts, irrepressible on-the-go gamers, and lovers of cute and weird stuff. Now if they’d add a sensor and a whammy bar, my dreams of conquering the hearts of kiddy rock-n-roll fans will soon come true. Thanks to Engadget.com for the pictures!
