Hello, Dahlings!
Once again it is I, your fahbulous tech partyboy, dishing out the latest buzz on the loveliest to-be-seen events in the Metro. Well. Today I was at the launch of Sony's gorgeous new camera, the Alpha 100, held at the EDSA Shangri-la. I just knew my day would be mahvelous when I spied none other than INXS at the lobby of the hotel. Oh divah?
And, what better camera to cover the Alpha launch with than a Sony Alpha mismo? Flown down from Singapore yesterday especially for moi (secret project), the Alpha was a dream to handle. Low light was not a problem, even with a relatively slow lens, thanks to a high ISO of 1600 and Super Steady Shot stabilization technology.
We were also introduced to four young photographers who worked with the Alpha especially for the launch: Jake Verzosa, Mark Nicdao, Joann Bitagcol and Sara Black. I love them!
After the lovely launch proper, we were shuttled to the Shangri-la mall for the Alpha exhibit. Here we saw the breathtaking photos of Jake, Mark, Sara and Joann as well as the master Jun de Leon, all shot with the Alpha in Tokyo. The exhibit will be traveling to other malls so keep a lookout for it. Before the press tour ended, Sony raffled off some prizes and yours truly walked home with one of them, a petite Cyber-shot W50. May pang party photography na ako!
Until next fabulous IT press event, Baboosh!
