*Sigh* People never learn...
Yes, a scammer has done it again, this time in a parking lot outside Mickey D's (McDonalds).
From Mercury News dot com:
A man wanted to buy a PS3 for $700. But instead, he got a box full of magazines, bricks, and a PS2 controller.
According to the article, a 27-year-old man from San Jose wanted to buy the ever scarce PS3. He was looking at EBay and all of ther other websites until he found a seller on craigslist who was "willing" to sell him a PS3 for $700.
The scammer and an accomplice met up with the man in a McDonald's parking lot. When the victim arrived, the man just showed a black bag and said that the PS3 was inside. The man then asked if he could see the unit right before the exchange. Of course, this is not even news worthy if all went well, but guess what the scammer said...
What? You don't trust me?
After that line, the man still decided to push through with the transaction. After the scammer got the money, he sped out of the parking lot and drove through a red light.
Hahahahahahha. Well, that's another scam for you folks! Do share to us what you think. By the way, if you want to read the article, do click on this link.
