Online Shopper Gets Soap Instead of iPod

LordM | 27 October, 2006 13:08

Talk about scammers... A person by the name of Sean bought a brand new iPod from a website called Smalldog.com. Surprisingly, his iPod turned out to be something else...

Looks pretty shady huh? What's up with all the boxes and newspapers inside?

"OK then, let's see what's in those boxes..."

What the hell?!?!?!?? Irish Spring and a couple of batteries? What's going on?

He gave smalldog a call, only to be laughed at by the customer representative... She asked what was wrong and if he could take screenshots so that she could share the mishap to her officemates. The girl was really nice so Sean didn't really get upset.

The iPod was eventually replaced to a real iPod and they are now investigating how the iPod got swapped to a bar or soap.

Hehehe. Good thing this story had a happy ending, unlike the USB Wi-fi Adaptor scam I blogged about before. If you want to read about this mishap, better check out consumerist.com. Better yet, click on this link for the full detail of the ordeal.
