Cheaters ALWAYS Win! (An Interview With A Cheater)

LordM | 19 September, 2006 11:55

I have been playing a lot of MMORPGs and games extensively for the past few years. And, apart from the sheer exhilaration I get from playing these games, I also get really annoyed with people who resort to cheating.

From hex runes and map hacks in Diablo, to aimbots, speed hacks, and map hacks in CS or Battlefield - these cheaters go out of their way to purchase, download, and install hacks on their PC to gain a very unfair advantage.

Yes, I too have had my fair share of cheating... When I get stuck (or die pertually) in a PS2 game, I immediately read my favorite faq website: http://www.gamefaqs.com. Better yet, I just download a couple of codes for my Gameshark application (infinite lives and ammo, etc.) and play the game without worries. What I DON'T do however, is to get hacks/mods/bots for any online game that I'm playing (or played before) as it defeats the purpose of enjoying it.

However, this is not the case for chronic cheaters...

An avid Halo 2 player (and blogger for aeropause website) met a cheater online and decided to interview him... He agreed to be interviewed but his name was changed to Schmuck5000 to "protect" his identity.

Here are some of his answers to the questions that the Aeropause correspondent asked him... (quoted from aeropause website)

Aeropause: Besides Halo 2 are there any other games at which you cheat?

Schmuck5000: I play BF2 and some Counter Strike. I cheat at both but it’s hard to get away with in Counter Strike. People who play CS are such babies about that stuff. The other players are just jealous p***ys who wish they had the ability to cheat.

Aeropause: Cheaters are mainly made up of people who lack the dexterity to play the game honestly. Did your inability to play the games well in the first place lead you to begin cheating?

Schmuck5000: I can play each and every game I cheat at very well. I will own anyone on the battlefield even without a mod, Believe It!

Aeropause: The rise of online gaming has had its share of hurdles and one of the greatest hurdles is getting rid of cheaters such as yourself. What advice would you give game designers to help discourage cheaters?

Schmuck5000: Give Up! There is no way to stop us. Everyone wants to cheat and we will always find a way to do it. Anyone reading this is simply jealous of the fact that I have enough nuts to cheat and play the game the way I want to.

I feel sorry for this guy. I mean, what is the use of playing online games if you are just going to cheat your way through it?

Do indulge me with your comments and tell me what you guys think.
