Talk About Stupidity... Greedy Burglar Nabbed

LordM | 19 October, 2006 14:48

Yes. It's one thing to rob someone, but it's really another thing to get caught altogether.

Two brothers were trying to get some sleep when two people in ski masks broke in. The burglars yelled and asked for all their belongings: money, jewelry, and their cellphones. The brothers were too shocked to even fight back, making it way easier for the burglars to run off with their stuff.

After a while however, they were able to recognize the voice of one of the burglars as one of their friends who slept in their place a few weeks back.

What happens next is the real clincher to this story.

Uh Oh! Apple Ships iPod With Windows Virus

LordM | 18 October, 2006 15:25

According to the Apple website, less than 1% of the Video iPods shipped after September 12, 2006 has shipped with a RavMonE.exe virus. And I quote (from Apple.com):

We recently discovered that a small number - less than 1% - of the Video iPods available for purchase after September 12, 2006, left our contract manufacturer carrying the Windows RavMonE.exe virus. This known virus affects only Windows computers, and up to date anti-virus software which is included with most Windows computers should detect and remove it. So far we have seen less than 25 reports concerning this problem. The iPod nano, iPod shuffle and Mac OS X are not affected, and all Video iPods now shipping are virus free. As you might imagine, we are upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses, and even more upset with ourselves for not catching it.

If you happen to be the minority who purchased the iPod Video with the said virus, users must scan their iPods (using the latest virus scanners around), remove the virus from the storage device, and use the iTunes 7 program to restore the software for your precious iPod.

Hopefully, that will solve all your viral problems and bring back your iPod to it's full glory...

Make Your PC A Frying Pan!

LordM | 18 October, 2006 14:39

I am honest enough to say that I am a fries addict. Everytime I go out with my friends to eat out, I order something that has fries as a side dish (like a burger, or fish and chips). But, in case I don't have the money to eat out, I usually buy fries from the grocery, turn on my stove, pour tons of oil on the fryer, and fry away.

But what I didn't know is that you could actually use your PC as a deep fryer... Yes, your own PC as a deep fryer.

Battlefield 2142: The Future Is Now

LordM | 18 October, 2006 13:27

I really can't believe this. After only three months of playing Battlefield 2 (Yea, the game's kinda old, but it was my officemate who actually influenced me to play online), the next installment of Battlefield is hitting the shelves this week.

BF 2142...

While I am not really a fan of futuristic warfare, I would probably play this game when my officemates move from BF2 to the 2142 scene...

LordM | 16 October, 2006 15:44

I just can't get enough of sushi.

Lately, my body has been craving for it (especially California Maki and Salmon... YUM!), and now I am thinking of buying a USB sushi drive to remind me just how good a sushi feels and tastes in my mouth.

Now, people by the names of Cindy and Mel take the sushi craze a step further by making sushi pillows.

Yes, sushi pillows...

Protect Your Valuable Gadgets

LordM | 16 October, 2006 15:26

If there is one thing I personally hate, it's placing my expensive gadget/s in a table/chair/drawer and accidentally leaving it behind. Of course, I couldn't blame anybody except myself for being such a forgetful person.

Now, there is a gadget that can "remind" you of your personal belongings.

I give to you, the Bodyguard!

Yes, sometimes this line is used by men/women who just want to strike up a conversation with you. But should you wish to avoid these kinds of people and tell everyone what time it is, then better buy this shirt...

This is the Time T-shirt: a new fun way of telling time.

Stick Your Finger The Easy Way

LordM | 13 October, 2006 15:17

Ye, I am one of those who would just like a gadget that can show fellow drivers that I don't like their continuous honking or their annoying driving antics. But of course, I don't want to offend anyone by rolling down my window, lift "that" finger up, and wave it continously until they get the message. Isn't there any other way for me to do "it"???!??!

Now, with Flicking the Bird, you can do that gesture whenever, wherever with ease.

The Flick'n the Bird Pump Up Finger is an inflatable hand that you can stick to your car window.
