Extending Your iPod Dock

LordM | 21 February, 2007 15:45

Just last week, my boss asked if he could borrow my iPod as he wanted to listen to his MP3s. Of course, I gladly obliged and handed it to him after loading his tunes, but there was a slight problem... The iPod needed to be docked to a speaker system here in our office.

While it was not really a problem to take off the silicon casing that I bought to protect my Pod, I was not really comfortable with that set-up. Why? Because one of my pet peeves is that I really get O.C. (obsessive compulsive) when my gadgets get scrached or dirty.

Of course, it got back to me without any scratches, but I felt that I needed a gadget that can dock my iPod without having to remove my silicon casing.

Well, it is good to hear that there is a company that directly solves that problem and provides O.C. people like me an easy solution...

The product is called Dock Extender and it will surely makes things easier the next time my iPod wants to be docked.

What does it do? Well, it's probably the accessory with the least features since all it does is that it simply extends your iPod connector. Even if it's just a simple gadget, SendStation's Dock Extender promises never to remove your protective casing for your iPod, EVER.

*Sigh* This must be love at first sight.

If you want to know more about this product, better check out the sendstation website. The link is right here. No word on price and availability yet, but I do hope this product reaches the Philippines.

This is useless for anything that has a deep cradle like the inMotion IM7 or any other thing that uses a deep cradle. Not to sure why they created an extender with such limited use for most of us in need of one.

Well, thing is, there's always room for improvement right? Even if some people feel that there is no need for this product, others may find this "tool" to be useful. :)
