ASUS Notebooks Now 3 Years Warranty, Sneak Preview of PDA Phones

Singapore, April 24, 2007 -- ASUS has announced 3 Years Limited Warranty for all models of ASUS notebooks, making ASUS the first brand in Singapore to offer 3 Years Warranty for its full range of notebooks. This will add an additional 1 year of local warranty on top of its existing 2 year international warranty.

3rd Year Local Limited Warranty
The 3rd Year Local Limited Warranty will cover parts and labor of the notebook only and will be valid for notebook purchases made in Singapore only. Batteries and accessories are not included in the warranty. The original purchase invoice, including purchase receipt or other proof of purchase together with the 3rd Year Local Limited Warranty card must be presented at the ASUS Singapore Service Centre for the warranty to be valid.

For the initial 2 Years Global Warranty which will cover at least 46 countries worldwide, consumers simply need to register the notebook for the warranty via the ASUS webstite.

Sneak Preview of new ASUS PDAs and PDA Phones
Also seen at the press event was sneak peeks of upcoming ASUS PDA and PDA phones which we snapped a few pictures of.

The ASUS A696 GPS PDA, which will be available in April.

The P526 PDA Phone, which will be available in July.

The M530w PDA Phone which will be available in June offers a full QWERTY keyboard and comes in two colors.

The sexy Windows Mobile 5.0 based ASUS P735 PDA phone supports UMTS2100MHz, Tri-band GSM and offers 2-megapixel auto-focus camera, Marvell XScale Processor (520MHz) 256MB ROM/64MB RAM, WLAN802.11b/g and Mini-SD card slot.
