Singapore, 25 January 2007 -- LG Electronics (LG) announced the LG L53 series - a new range of ultra high contrast LCD monitors delivering exceptional price-performance to users. The LG L53 series features digital fine contrast (DFC) technology, a high contrast ratio of 2000:1, and one of the industry’s lowest response times of 2-5ms. The new L53 series comes in 3 variants, from 17” to 19” in normal aspect ratio.

The LG L53 series is ideal for both work and entertainment purposes, with its entry level models – L1753S and L1953S – boasting high contrast ratios of 2000:1 and fast 5ms response times. The L1953TR features an ultra-high response rate of 2ms and Digital Video Interface (DVI) input, providing gamers and movie aficionados exceptional clarity, true-to-life colors, and a seamless viewing experience that eliminates screen ghosting.

“LG shows its aim to be the global leader in digital display with this new L53 series that has one of the markets highest contrast ratio of 2000:1 and an ultra low response time of 2-5ms,” said Howard Lee, Managing Director for LG Electronics Singapore. “LG will continue to develop innovative products with cutting-edge technology to secure leadership in technology and new standards.”

The LG L53 series utilizes LG’s unique ‘f-ENGINE’ technology - the world’s first LCD picture-enhancing chip that offers users clearer, crisper and brighter images. LG’s ‘F-ENGINE’ automatically analyzes the input image, and adjusts contrast ratio and color for perfect picture quality.
