Fujitsu Unveils New LifeBook A Series
Notebooks | Just Announced
Thu 28 Sep 2006

SINGAPORE, September 28, 2006 -- Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific today proudly announces the brand new LifeBook A series. Designed to cater to the requirements of corporate, home office and value-conscious consumers, the two new models, LifeBook A3110 and A6010, maintain the stylish design and superb reliability Fujitsu is renowned for.

Mr Raymond Foo, Director, Product Marketing and Engineering, said “Fujitsu, a premium brand synonymous with reliability and quality, understands the varying needs of unique individuals and is dedicated to producing the most suitable products to bring out the best in each of us. With the launch of the LifeBook A series, we hope to bring Fujitsu’s trademark high quality computing companions closer to you.”

True to its philosophy of catering to customers’ needs and preferences, Fujitsu offers two different dual core processing platforms on the new LifeBook A series. On one hand, fans of Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology can indulge in the delights of the enhanced efficiency LifeBook A6010 offers, due to the combined benefits of greater processing speed and longer battery life.

On the other hand, users of LifeBook A3110 can benefit from the 64-bit power of the AMD Turion™ 64 X2 processor or the extreme value of the AMD Sempron™ 3200+ processor, making both models relentless multitasking machines. With the LifeBook A series, living a contemporary digital lifestyle and workstyle is suddenly not as unattainable as you imagined.

Both LifeBook A series let you feast your eyes on their brilliant 15.4-inch SuperFine LCD displays. With the capability to reproduce true-to-live images, relive fond memories while looking through photographs or lose yourself in the captivating plot of the latest Hollywood blockbuster. It is also perfect for powering through presentations, documents, spreadsheets and more, which hardly comes as a surprise considering the visually-pleasing high brightness of 300nits and high contrast of 350:1.

The LifeBook A series also helps to protect you against yourself and the unexpected. If you have ever accidentally dropped or moved your notebook too violently and then lost your valuable data, Fujitsu has a thoughtful application for you. The LifeBook Shock Sensor, with an advanced three-axis sensor technology, automatically comes to the rescue to help reduce the risk of hard disk drive damage.

Upon detection of movement, the hard disk drive head automatically retracts so as to prevent the sensitive disk surface from being scratched, leading to potential loss of any or all information. New security enhancements are now possible too. Imagine your notebook automatically locking itself with password protection during thefts or robbery attempts, because movements were sensed. To prevent unwanted disruptions, simply personalize the sensitivity setting. Add to this the spill-resistant keyboard, and you are reasonably safe from life’s minor accidents. Fujitsu has it all figured out for you.

Understanding that life is a balance between work, play and more, Fujitsu has ensured the LifeBook A series exceeds the connectivity requirements of business and home users. Both models feature three USB 2.0 ports, SD/Memory Stick/xD connectivity, PC Card and ExpressCard sockets, IEEE1394 and a range of video viewing options for smooth connectivity to multimedia peripherals including projectors and flat screen TVs. Fully upgradeable to the much anticipated operating system Windows Vista, customers will enjoy benefits including innovations in organizing and finding information, new levels of security, faster performance and greater reliability.

In addition, Fujitsu remains firmly committed to the promotion of a cleaner environment, implementing the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive (RoHS) across our entire range of products, allowing Fujitsu PC to stay keenly focused on our customers’ health and well-being, embracing a healthier environment for all.
