Sony Delivers Rich Bass with its New All-In-One Walkman B Series
The new Walkman NWZ-B130F series comes with bass enhancer for added oomph and other useful features to fit consumers' youthful lifestyle
Sony Electronics Asia Pacific presents its latest addition to Sony's extensive range of Walkman MP3 players – the NWZ-B130F series. Available in 1GB and 2GB capacities, the NWZ-B130F series is made to satisfy the audio needs of the youthful consumers, boosting a range of audio functions from MP3 playback to voice and FM recording as well as radio listening. The 1GB model can hold approximately 650 songs and record up to 43 hours of music, while the 2GB model can hold about 1,300 songs and record up to 88 hours of music.
Moving to the beat of the music is now much easier with powerful bass from the in-built bass enhancer. Through one touch of the "BASS" button, the player enhances the bass elements of music played by approximately 100Hz, delivering strong bass quickly and easily. As a stylish visual indicator, the power illuminator's four LEDs also start flashing to the rhythm of the music.
Entertaining music enthusiasts with non-stop music on the go, the new Walkman series is able to deliver up to 16 hours of continuous music playback. To keep consumers entertained with their favourite music at all times with minimum downtime, the NWZ-B130F series also features Sony's Quick Charge function. A quick three minutes of charging provides 90 minutes of music playback, and 16 hours worth of music playback can be achieved with just 70 minutes of charging.
"Sony is focused on its vision to bring cutting-edge audio technologies to meet the needs of consumer lifestyles," said Mr. Shinichiro Ikeda, General Manager of Personal Audio Division, Sony Marketing Asia Pacific. "With the NWZ-B130F series, Sony has created a quality all-in-one-music player in a package that marries supreme audio capabilities and compact design which appeal to our youthful audience."
The power illuminator is not just a fancy add-on, though. In addition to the player's three-line LCD display, the power illuminator serves as a visual cue for users to easily identify which mode they are in. Through the various LED flash patterns, consumers can easily tell if the player is connected to a USB host, in recording mode or in bass enhanced mode.
As with its predecessor the NWD-B100F series, the new NWZ-B130F series features a direct USB connection and drag and drop interface for easy uploading/downloading and playback of audio content. In addition, the new Walkman B series allows for direct music recording and playback on supported audio systems, removing the need to connect to a computer in order to transfer audio content.
For the music lovers in us, keeping up with the latest songs is much simpler with the FM radio feature that allows you to preset up to 30 radio stations. In addition, the Walkman series features FM and voice recording which allows aspiring singers to record their favourite songs and even song demos. Further customisation of audio preferences is also enabled with the Equalizer function. Simply adjust to Jazz mode for easy listening of soothing tones, Heavy mode for greater emphasis on high and low audio ranges, and Pop to enhance mid-range vocal tones. In addition, the new NWZ-B130F series comes in four exciting colours of Black, Red, Pink and Blue to match your individual style.
The new Walkman NWZ-B130F series will be available in Asia Pacific in early August 2008.
