Taipei, Taiwan -- Walton Chaintech announces the newest DDR3 1066 SO-DIMM complying with the strong gravity from notebook PC market. Designed to meet Intel’s latest Montevina Centrino 2 notebook platform soon arriving in June, Walton Chaintech has successfully achieved the next stage of DDR3 SO-DIMM for giving professional users more speed and performance.

APOGEE DDR3 1066 SO-DIMM memory module is designed with 8-bit Pre-fetch, which meets the DDR3 standard of JEDEC and packaged by CSP technology (Chip Scale Package; or FBGA) for providing the best performance. It is a multifold improvement over the DDR2 4-bit architecture. The working voltage is 1.5V only, compared with 1.8V of DDR2; it has approximately 17% less power consumption. The supply voltage reduction is important prerequisite to meet future notebook requirements for low power consumption and heat generation due to the increase in bandwidth.

Not only speed but also stability considering, APOGEE DDR3 1066 SO-DIMM features new functions, such as CWD, power-saving reset, ZQ calibration, SRT and RASR. All these new technologies enable the DDR3 memory to more effectively read/write data and save more energy. Furthermore, APOGEE DDR3 1066 SO-DIMM adopts top quality chips to ensure the high performance in normal usage and overclocking.

It is said the June refresh will come with Intel’s brand-new Penryn processors saddled on a 1066MHz front-side bus. The new platform will also include new motherboard core logic to suit the hafnium-infused 45-nanometer chips. The development of DDR3 era enables Walton Chaintech to demonstrate its full potential and perfectly reflects Walton Chaintech’s long-term commitment and continuous efforts to provide the best memory product solutions.
