Designed as a mobile Internet device, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet has, first and foremost, high-speed 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connection for quick web browsing. The built-in Opera web browser supports the latest web standards, ranging from AJAX that powers Google Maps, XML for RSS feeds, to Adobe Flash 9 that supports richer web content over traditional text and images. Mozilla, another popular web browser, is supported too.

For Internet usage, the integrated browser which comes along is enough for you to properly view all web sites. But when it came to online multimedia web site such as DailyMotion and YouTube I couldn’t watch a movie correctly as it was lagging. Sending and receiving file though Bluetooth is easy. One interesting thing I found is that when paring with another device it automatically generates a key for you to use without having to think of one. I found it to be quite useful as each time I tried to send a file to my friends via Bluetooth from my PDA, I always ask myself what would be a secure key.

One thing I like the most is the built-in autofocus camera which I used to video-tele-conferencing Skype with my counterparts. That’s really cool!

There was no problems connecting to the Internet when I first signed on. After some surfing time to see how my favourite pages would appear in this slightly smaller format from what I am used to, I found it bearable. The zoom in functions were useful for bringing topics of interest into readable format. The e-mail features are definitely useful for those on the road moments when you need flexibility with hotel bookings.
