The Hyper 6+ is perhaps one of the largest CPU
coolers we have seen to date. It has a tremendously large surface
area for heat dissipation and is designed to be mounted with the
supplied 100mm fan. This combination helps keep processor operating
temperatures lower than most other normal fan-based coolers. The
Hyper 6+ is quiet at normal operation but at heavy loads (which
is at very high temperatures), the fan would rev at much higher
speeds, causing it to be much more audible in such scenarios.
The high density of the fins on the heatsink actually adds to the
noise level since the fan's airflow gets disrupted easily, although
this is the very reason for its good cooling capacity. Nevertheless,
the Hyper 6+ is an awesome CPU cooling solution that has helped
us achieve a significant overclocking result.
