Windows 7 has had people talking about it for some time now ever since the beta version was officially released earlier this year and some 8 million testers were on it likes bees to honey. Till this date, there has been an influx of positive reaction to the new OS, a stark contrast to its predecessor, Vista. In fact, so popular is Windows 7 that a queue started forming 9 hours before the official launch which culminated with more than 200 people vying for the first 177 copies to get their hands on Windows 7 at a special launch price on the midnight of 22nd October. How much cheaper you ask? How does S$77 from the original upgrade price of $219 sound?

On the other side of the spectrum, Snow Leopard was unveiled during the Apple's WorldWide Developer Conference on 8th June this year which was finally released publicly on 28th August. What was met as good news by the Apple fans was that Snow Leopard underwent several improvements over its predecessor, the Leopard OS, with features such as support for Microsoft Exchange and other user interface enhancements.
