All things said and done, the new Ion platform is just a refresh of sorts to adapt to the new system architecture these days. What the "Ion" brand brings to the plate remains and it is probably what matters most to the layman who just identifies his needs by what he does and what he hopes to experience. In essence 'turbo-boosting' Intel's Atom processor based systems with additional capabilities for not much more cost.
