Mobility and Architecture Showcase

Mobility and Architecture Showcase

After the R&D session, we were whisked away to a Fairmont Hotel for a special Mobility press showcase where we were told we could hands-on on some of the latest systems and usage models. While we were pretty sure Intel wasn't going to let us mess around with Next Generation Micro-Architecture one day ahead of IDF proper, we had hoped that there were some brand new toys to play with, maybe even a hint of Ultra-Mobile PC or the shadow of Microsoft's secret Origami project. However, we were destined to be disappointed. The mobility showcase was on 'current' applications and systems 'newly' optimized for Core Duo and Centrino Duo. There were one or two surprises like a prototype Toshiba Qosimo notebook with working HD-DVD player, but let's just say that the architecture of the Fairmont Hotel suite was very enchanting. Here are some pictures to keep you occupied while we get ready for IDF Spring 2006 tomorrow.
