As the guy who dabbles quite a bit in Social Media at HardwareZone, the announcement of Facebook Places in Singapore is supposed to be an exciting one for me. Unfortunately, it's anything but that.
Facebook recently launched a redesigned profile for its users, and some people are having quite a bit of fun with it. I decide to join in said profile hacking fun.
I recently attended a social media meet-up with Standard Chartered Bank and other local bloggers to find out more about Stanchart's new iPhone banking app, Breeze, and I have to admit, it's certainly one that makes me want to switch banks.
What do you do when you find out a colleague has to stay off social media for a week for a story? Do you, a) mess with him, b) laugh at him, c) steal his prized mayorships or d) all of the above?
It's not exactly fresh news, but will the subtle invasion of Facebook (or rather, the need to "status" everything) lead to our downfall?
