Introduction
If you think Gigabyte has stopped diversifying their products, then you're dead wrong. The recent introduction of their latest cooler is yet another big surprise to us. The new 3D Cooler-PRO is just not any other ordinary heatsink, but something that looks just like one of those other professionally designed coolers you can find in the market out there. What's unique is Gigabyte's attention to detail and the cooler's smart universal design. If you ask us, long time cooler manufacturers such as Thermaltake and Cooler Master ought to pause in their tracks and seriously check out what Gigabyte is doing.
The new 3D Cooler-PRO is a universal cooler with support for all different types of socket designs. Supporting the latest AMD Athlon 64 and Opteron designs, this cooler can be outfitted with different clips so that it can be used with other boards, such as those based on current AMD Socket-A (or Socket-462) and Intel Pentium 4 (Socket-478) designs. It should even be usable in the older Socket-370 (Intel Pentium III) motherboards although Gigabyte has not officially stated it in its specifications.
Inside the package, you'll find the following items :-
The Gigabyte 3D Cooler-PRO
Clip for AMD K7 sockets (Socket-462)
Clip for Intel Pentium 4 sockets (Socket-478)
Clip for AMD K8 sockets (Socket-754 and Socket-940)
