Today, we'll take a look at yet another 865PE offering from a relative well-known manufacturer that has consistently delivered very affordable budget motherboards to the marketplace. ECS skipped the Intel 875P chipset because it was too high-end for most people and decided to dive right into the mainstream segment with the PF1. Known to most of us as the "Photon" motherboard, this is Elitegroup's boldest product ever to join their motherboard line-up.

If you've been keeping up with what's happening at ECS over the many years, you'll notice that ECS produces no-frills products for general users who wants just the basic necessities. Such boards usually come without anything more than an AC'97 audio and a Fast Ethernet controller. Today, ECS recognizes the need for features and they have released a board with more than just any typical motherboard. The PF1 is not only out to attract the budget conscious users, but also to compete with other manufacturers with their own brand of features and frills.

Let's look at the technical specifications of the board below:-
