Introduction
When we talk about motherboards, how can we not consider AOpen? They were once a very popular brand among users in this region, and they are still very popular in other regions. However, at one point, we have not heard from them for quite a long while and it was when other brands started gaining grounds in this highly competitive motherboard market. Still, AOpen kept their development going with releases of new motherboards and only until recently did they shift their gears back to compete more aggressively. At least that's what is happening in this region right now.
In the Granite Bay motherboard segment, AOpen has also offered a similar product for the consumer market. Using their signature black PCB design, AOpen's Granite Bay board comprises of six PCI slots and one AGP 8X slot for multiplie expansion capabilities. Built upon a similar design as those we've seen from MSI, Gigabyte and ASUS, the AOpen AX4R Plus comes with a different combination of integrated devices along with a couple of interesting software features that would surely appeal to users of all walks of life.
Before we dive deep into what the new AOpen AX4R Plus has to offer, let's take a closer look at the technical specifications of the motherboard below.
