In today's competitive LCD market, where there are many manufacturers vying for the attention of the consumer, it certainly helps to have a brand that people can recognize readily. AOC is certainly one brand that is easily identifiable for its value for money monitors. The numerous awards that they have earned from many publications proved this quite clearly.
AOC is owned by Top Victory Electronics (TPV). TPV (based in Taiwan) is the third largest manufacturer of monitors in the world with nearly 20 years of computer monitor design and manufacturing experience. In 2000, TPV produced nearly four million monitors under the AOC and Envision brand names. Currently, customers can choose from more than 100 affordable models, ranging from 14 inches to 19 inches.
They recently introduced several product lines, including economical, space-conscious flat-tube and LCD monitors. One such series from their LCD division is the LM series. Ranging from 15.1 inches up to 18.1 inches, customers are free to choose the products that best suit their needs and budgets.
As it so happens, we have the LM800 (18.1" LCD) in the labs. It can be considered AOC's flagship product as it is the largest LCD panel they have in the market right now.
