Lost Files, Lost Time, Lost Work

How many times have you ever deleted a file by accident? Or even worse, deleting or formatting a particular hard disk partition by mistake? Such mishaps have happened before and I'm pretty sure that no one is a stranger to it. I'm certain that some have even cried and/or cursed over the loss of their precious work just because of a wrong click of the mouse button. At least I know I have.

There are a couple of other file recovery utilities available in the market right now and most of us are probably very familiar with a couple of them. There are various recovery methods which requires the installation of the software into the operating system for it to be effective. This not only takes up precious CPU resources, but can be a real pain when disk access slows down to accommodate the software. Thus, how many of you had great success with it? Well, I for one, were not entirely satisfied with what it could do as it pretty much lacked the features and flexibility. Most of the time, I ended up with what I started, nothing.

SNRTEC's FinalData file recovery utility is a pretty useful and interesting tool that landed in our labs recently. It promises various recovery methods ranging from accidentally deleted files to recovery from damaged FAT, deleted partitions or even after a quick format on your hard disk. Sounds pretty amazing, isn't it? Well, read on to find out more.

The contents of the package. A printed manual, a registration card, a FinalData bumper sticker and the software CD itself.
