Antec's Mighty Mouse

Hot on the heels of the successful renewal of its performance line of casings with the flagship P180 Advanced Super Mid Tower looking impressive , Antec shows that it is not resting on its laurels in its stated mission towards the ultimate in quiet computing by presenting another case (pun intended) to convince the remaining few skeptics – the Antec P150 Mini Tower.

Displayed prominently on its retail packaging, quiet computing is a catchphrase adopted by Antec. It is, to quote an overused cliché, a holistic approach that encompasses all aspects found in a typical PC: from the processor to the graphics card to the power supply, all these elements more or less contribute to the overall noise output. Although the user's choice of components determine largely how quiet a PC can be, Antec aims to help you along by designing casings and power supplies that minimize this noise level. Features like slow moving cooler fans and sound dampeners are some of the tricks of the trade that makes this approach feasible.

A knight in shining armor, clean, freshly laundered sheets and the iPod are some of the positive associations of the color white. And the Antec P150 of course.

Naturally, these features are some of the important characteristics of the Antec P180, like its unique multi-layer sound dampening side panels and while the compact Antec P150 Mini Tower looks quite unlike its older brother in both appearance and size, it still follows the Antec philosophy and arguably extends it with some interesting features that's rarely seen in a mainstream casing. Before we unveil the mysteries of quiet computing as defined by Antec, let us take a look at its specifications:
