Introduction
Following suit of the recently released Centurion 53x series of ATX casings, Cooler Master will be adding a 54x series to the Centurion family, the Centurion Micro ATX 540 and 541. However, despite Cooler Master's progressive naming convention, these two models are not the successors to the Centurion 530 and 531. Instead they are completely different casings with a smaller and lighter build tailored for the Micro-ATX form factor. A quick look at Cooler Master's website revealed that the 54x does not only come in the mini tower Micro-ATX models that we have in our labs, but are also available in BTX configurations. Centurion casings have always been made for the standard ATX form factor and delivered in at least a mid-tower configuration, but it seems Cooler Master is now branching out towards more specific casing builds with the introduction of the Centurion Micro ATX 540 and 541. We take both the Centurion Micro ATX 540 and 541 out for a ride and see if Cooler Master still has what it takes to make a great mainstream case.
