New ASUS Notebooks

The A6000U is based on the SiS M760 mobile chipset designed for the AMD Turion64 processor. The notebook’s graphics is powered by the SiS Mirage 2, a DirectX 8 3D graphics processor built inside the M760. The A6000U comes with either 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN. Users can also choose between a 15-inch XGA or 15.4-inch WXGA display. The A6000U also comes with a built-in webcam and microphone for video conferencing applications.

The M6000V is a digital entertainment gateway that’s powered by the latest Intel 915PM Express chipset. It comes equipped with ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 graphics, 802.11a/b/g wireless networking and Gigabit Ethernet. The M6000V comes with either a 15.1-inch XGA/SXGA+ or 15.4-inch WXGA/WSXGA+ LCD screen.

The W1000G is a home entertainment PC with a built-in DVB-T and analog TV tuner. It comes with a remote controller that hides inside the PCMCIA slot and it uses the latest crystal shine LCD display for that high contrast and rich color experience. The W1000G is based on the Intel 855PM chipset and is equipped with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 graphics.

The W2000V boasts of a big 17-inch WXGA/WSXGA+ color display with an analog and digital TV receiver. This 3.2kg notebook also comes with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 graphics for the gamer.

The ASUS W3000V notebook is based on Intel’s new Sonoma platform featuring the Intel 915PM Express chipset. The notebook comes with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 graphics chip with wireless 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth connectivity. The W3000V comes with a 14-inch WXGA crystal shine LCD display.

The W5000A’s main feature is its 180-degree swiveling 1.3 MegaPixel webcam located at the top of the display. The lightweight 1.6kg notebook is based on the Intel 915GM Express chipset and it comes with 256MB of DDR2-400 memory already built on-board. A single SO-DIMM slot lets you upgrade its memory up to 768MB.
