DFI has come a long way since the days of their budget and mainstream series of boards that were more OEM-minded in design than for the DIY end-users. However, with a successful marketing blitz for their LANParty series of boards for more than a year, they rapidly increased product awareness among enthusiasts and overclockers alike by promoting boards that are focused on the needs of gamers and modders. Although the LANParty series is targeted at this growing niche group, DFI's increased product awareness has certainly helped raise their profile among all motherboard adopters in general. DFI still maintains their basic motherboards series for those who require only the essential features and the DFI 915P-TAG is one such Intel 915P Express board that we rounded up for this grand shootout.

The DFI 915P-TAG is a mainstream Intel 915P Express motherboard.
