Introduction

Not long ago, we reviewed a top end ASUS motherboard based on the 925X Express chipset, the P5AD2 Premium, which garnered full marks from us. The Premium variation is not only limited to the high-end 925X chipset, but is also available in the slightly lower 915P Express configuration and this is what we received from ASUS for our 915P Express motherboard shootout. The ASUS P5GD2 Premium is packed with the same goodness as we've come to expect and even has some features of its own that the bigger brother was not endowed. The sheer amount of features are a techie's wet dream and enough to leave all but the most jaded enthusiast weeping with joy. Of course, these features do come at a price as the P5GD2 Premium is beyond the normal budget range of many. However, we dare you to take a look and maintain that you aren't impressed.

The following is the package contents of the ASUS P5GD2 Premium (which reads like a motherboard Christmas wish list):-
