Introduction

The venerable mouse is an indispensable tool when it comes to navigating through any Windows or GUI environment. Besides the keyboard, it is arguably the most utilized peripheral in daily computing. The mouse is also one of the few computer peripherals that can be 'seen'. As such, it comes as no surprise that we are seeing a barrage of designer or stylized mice from manufacturers. From the Microsoft S+arck to the Logitech Football mouse, manufacturers are trying to lure consumers with looks rather than functionality. This isn't necessary a bad thing since most of these designs only alter the shell or casing of the mouse. Its internal engine will still determine the actual performance. Thus, having a little eye candy never hurt anyone.

Gigabyte Technology has followed suit, coming up with some innovative portable mice designs. In the past few months, we've reviewed two wireless devices from Gigabyte and they have just sent another rodent scurrying our way. Take a little time off and follow us through a quick run through of the Gigabyte GM-W9C Rechargeable RF Wireless Optical Mouse (Ed. - what a mouthful!).
