Having mainly concentrated on the motherboard business, we were pleasantly surprised when Biostar further diversified into other familiar channels such as the Mini PC and small form factor (SFF) systems. For one, Biostar offers numerous plain and modest looking motherboards but at the same time, they are reliable and affordable. When budget is extremely limited and all you need is a simple board to build a system, Biostar's products fit the role better than most others (as long as you can live without the frills associated with big name vendors).

SFF systems have never been exactly cheap mostly due to individual vendor's proprietary chassis, motherboard and power supply designs. These reasons have always kept SFF barebone machines commanding a high premium over a DIY micro-ATX system. That's why we rejoiced when Biostar made way into the SFF market for their solutions (the iDEQ series) are usually priced slightly lower than its competitors, just like their motherboards. Though still young in the SFF business, they already feature six variants (three for Intel Pentium 4, two for the AMD Athlon XP and one for the AMD Athlon 64). In this artcile, we reviewed their Intel 865G solution, the iDEQ 200T. It wasn't too long since they launched this, hence the motherboard integrated in the Biostar iDEQ 200T supports not only the standard Intel Celeron and Pentium 4 but also newer processors based on the Prescott core.
