And On This Side of the Ring...

…we have the eight MegaPixel digital prosumer camera from the Olympus camp.

A continuation from the Olympus CAMEDIA C-5060 Wide Zoom, the Olympus CAMEDIA C-8080 Wide Zoom comes with a 2/3-inch type image sensor housing approximately eight million pixels and delivering up to 3,264 x 2,448-pixel resolution images. It also features the newly developed Olympus TruePic TURBO image processor which not only promises to improve high-resolution clarity and reducing noise for clearer and more natural imaging, but also increasing processing speed and reducing recording/playback response time.

Coupled with the camera's eight megapixel image sensor is the 13-group, 15-element zoom lens. To reduce ghosting and flares to an absolute minimum, many of the lens elements are also multi-coated with a lens hood included in the standard package.
