Samsung and Its Cutting Edge TV Tech
At the recently concluded CeBit Hannover 2004 IT and Consumer Electronics exhibition, Samsung was the proud brand behind three of the show stealers: the worlds largest LCD TV at 57-inch, the worlds largest PDP (plasma display panel) TV at an amazing 80-inch and a prototype borderless DLP TV. For the companys insight into the exciting world of flat display markets and technologies, Hardware Zone had the exclusive privilege to interview Samsung's global display division's Executive Vice President, Mr. Shin Man-Yong as well as the division's R&D Vice President, Mr. Yoon Boo Keun. Here is what they had to say:
HWZ: Hello Mr. Shin and Mr. Yoon, can you tell us more about yourself and what you do for Samsung?
Shin: I am the Executive Vice President and General Manager for Samsungs Visual Display Division and I am responsible for Samsungs global display unit, including TVs and monitors.
Yoon: I am the Vice President of Samsungs R&D Team for the Visual Display Division. I manage the operations and technologies being developed for Samsungs displays.
