Introduction
Having carved a name for itself in the automobile and air-conditioning industry, Mitsubishi is making a charge at the growing mobile phone industry with their flagship M720. For the uninitiated, Mitsubishi Electric isn't exactly a new player in the mobile phone industry. While it isn't the most prolific and aggressive mobile phone manufacturer either, their latest clamshell M720 mobile phone might just give its competitors a run for their money.
In recent years, clamshell based handphones have been widely regarded as the finer and classier version of mobile phones. This is evident from the increasing high-end clamshell models being pumped out by the big names of the industry. The attraction of a clamshell mobile phone with a top flip seems to bring about a certain unexplainable charm over the simpler candy-bar flavor.
Most mobile phones with internal antennas are limited to Dual-Band network support and the Mitsubishi M720 with an internal antenna is no exception here. Encased in a champagne silver plastic housing, the M720 supports the GSM900/1800 networks and is one of the few model to feature an 18-bit LCD display that can pump out an astounding 262,144 colors.
