Hitachi 1TB 7K1000 HDD
|
| Another year, another record smashed. Last year, we saw the 750GB barrier
broken, this time, Hitachi has delivered the first 1TB HDD and has been
the only one offering this capacity point for a long time until recently.
Running at 7200 RPM, the 7K1000 has a 32MB cache and uses Hitatchi's perpendicular
magnetic recording technology. Looking ahead to 2008, will 2TB drives start
becoming the norm? |
Samsung ML-1630 Mono Laser Printer
|
| Samsung has this habit of taking a simple ordinary product and turning
it into art pieces. The ML-1630 is one example. Take a normal monochrome
laser printer. Jazz it up in piano black and hope no one will notice the
average print speed of only 17 pages per minute. Thankfully the design of
the ML-1630 is so futuristically good that we can overlook the other aspects
for now. Seriously, nobody expected fancy looking printers and scanners,
but you can count on Samsung to glorify our lives. Hopefully we will start
seeing more high-performance printers that print as good as they look. |
ASUS G2S Gaming Notebook
|
| As desktop replacements go, the G2S is one heck of a monster. With its
17-inch LCD screen, a Core 2 Duo T7700 processor, a GeForce 8600M GT and
2GB of DDR2 RAM, it's no wonder this model weighs in at 4.4kg. With such
features, it's no wonder games ran smoothly and together with its 'leet'
design, it's a no brainer that this monster should be a gamer's weapon of
choice for 2007 despite its hefty price tag. For those who prefer a smaller
package, there's always the 15-inch G1S model too. |
DVICO TVX-HD M-4110SH
|
| Featuring a whole slew of features, from the ability to record High Definition
(HD) quality video and audio to HDMI output supporting quick changes from
720p to 1080i or 1080p, this small and nifty HDD media center's hard disk
can be easily upgraded for even more storage space and has wireless features
to boot. Take note folks, it's probably the best DVB-T media center out
there. Like totally awesome!

i.Tech Jawbone Bluetooth Headset
|
| Scarily clear sound clarity makes this the i.Tech Jawbone the premium
choice of for discerning users. The proprietary voice sensor cancels away
background noise providing a clear aural experience through almost every
test we could put it in making it definitely the best Bluetooth headset
around currently. |
Toshiba HD-XE1KY HD DVD Player
|
| Sleek and chic, Toshiba's HD-XE1KY is a premium performer with 1080p playback
support as well as HDMI output. Leaving us most impressed was its picture
quality and playback which was so good we could see every little pore and
hair on actor's close-ups. With its minimalistic looks and brushed-metal
finish, Toshiba has found a winner with its smoking hot player. |
Acer Aspire Gemstone 5920G
|
| To call the Acer Aspire Gemstone a gem of machine might sound like a cliche,
but it's no lie when it comes to this multimedia machine. With its contoured
looks, the Gemstone hides a whole range of connectivity options including
a HDMI port. While most notebooks will give you crappy mediocre sound, the
Gemstone's audio quality was topnotch for its class. Featuring a Core 2
Duo T7300 processor with 2GB RAM and an NVIDIA 8600M GT, the Gemstone is
a solid all round performance-oriented portable entertainment machine. |
Toshiba Qosmio G40
|
| If you were to start linking entertainment and laptops together, then
the Toshiba Qosmio G40 comes to the mind. An upgrade over the previous G30
model, the G40 retains most of the features of its predecessor while featuring
the spanking features of the Santa Rosa platform and a whole new design.
With its full HD-capable 17-inch screen, HD DVD player, superb audio delivery
and T7300 Core 2 Duo processor, the G40 monster is premium DTR machine that
perhaps has no rival. |
Fujitsu U1010 UMPC
|
| Fujitsu's affordable U1010 UMPC promises true freedom and companionship
on the move. Sporting a unique design that allows it to house a full QWERTY
keyboard as well as covert into a tablet PC, this is one versatile little
gadget. It comes equipped with a full operating system and with a very reasonable
price tag, we were easily won over by it. |
Creative Zen Stone Plus
|
| Comprising of an OLED screen, in a cute little 'stone' body, this media
player in our opinion, outshines the legendary iPod shuffle as it offers
more control on playback functionality. Great price, outstanding audio quality
and nifty features, we found no regrets in owning one of these units. Throw
in usability and the fact that we could just fit one of these into our pockets
with no hassle, need we say more? |
